For decades, nail professionals used durable products like acrylic, hard gel and PolyGel to give less-than-ideal nails the perfect shape and structure. And while those products absolutely do the trick for creating beautiful nails, they also look like enhancements. Today's beauty trends often veer toward enhancing natural features, not covering them. And no one will ever confuse acrylics with natural nails. So, what are the nail professionals challenged to do?

Enter Gelish Foundation Flex. This innovative rubber base gel gives natural nails added strength and flexibility while at the same time hiding imperfections. Developed with the Gelish Foundation Base technology, Foundation Flex is a thicker viscosity gel that cocoons nails in a protective layer, filling in ridges and disguising flaws, for plumper and shapelier nails. Fortified with vitamin A and biotin to provide strength, after only a couple of coats, you'll have practically perfect-looking nails that will bend but won't break.

This remarkable nail coating is available in multiple shades — clear, light pink, light nude and cover beige — so there's something for everyone. Whether your clients' nails needs a little more plumping for that perfect shape under Gelish Soak-Off Gel Polish or she wants to recreate the on-trend lip gloss nail or American manicure, Foundation Flex is the key to providing strength, shape and flexibility while maintaining the integrity of the natural nail. Practically perfect nails in no time: It's a dream come true!

1.

Prep nails by pushing back cuticles, removing any dead skin from the nail plate and filing to the desired shape. Clean the nail plate with Gelish Nail Surface Cleanse.

2.

Apply a thin coat of Foundation Flex using the brush to “float” the gel over the nail. Cure for 30 seconds under an LED light.

3.

Repeat with a second layer. Don't forget to cap the free edge of the nail. Cure for 30 seconds.

4.

Apply Gelish Top It Off top coat to the entire nail and free edge, and cure for 30 seconds. Moisten a lint-free pad with Nail Surface Cleanse to remove the tacky layer on the nail, leaving a high-shine finish.

5.

Leave as is for an effortlessly chic lip gloss nail look, or skip Step 4 and apply two thin coats of Gelish Soak-Off Gel Polish, curing after each. Finish with No Cleanse Top Coat, and cure.
