Meet Antony Buckley, nail professional, international competition champion and European Director of Education for Gelish. Read on to discover more about his nail career.

With 30 years under his belt working as a nail technician, Antony Buckley is the epitome of an industry veteran. Based in the United Kingdom, Buckley started his career working at a nail salon before expanding into education, first for a distributor and later for manufacturers, teaching classes, working trade shows and traveling worldwide as a global educator. But he also honed his skills in the competition arena, specifically in the area of sculpted French, where he took home many first place wins in competitions around the globe. In 2010, he became the European Director of Education for Gelish. Buckley credits Gelish founder and CEO Danny Haile as one of the biggest influences in his career for the continuous drive toward creative success.

First Job:

My first job in the nail industry was working at a salon as a nail tech.

Favorite Nail Style:

This has to be sculpted pink-and-whites with liquid and powder. I love the timeless elegance of this look. It suits everyone and gives a beautifully clean, manicured finish.

Finding Inspiration:

I find inspiration everywhere, from a photo I see to the fabric that someone is wearing. Or I’ll find it simply in the colors I choose to use. There’s no limit to the ways I get ideas!
